2021 Camp Started Bundle

All paperwork and payments must be mailed to the Extension Office this year.
It is that time of year again to look forward to summer camp. We will camp at Lake Cumberland 4-H Camp again the week of August 2-6, 2021. The cost for camp is $250 this year and is open to those ages 9-13 and those finishing the 3rd grade through 8th grade. You can pay for your camper in full or pay in installments – pay attention to the camp flyer and the camper application.
2021 4-H Camp is going to be a different week this year and we are excited to be camping with a new group, Carrol County and Gallatin County. Even though we have switched groups and added additional cabins, due to Covid-19 camp is reduced to 50% capacity.
We would ask that you be patient with us as we navigate 4-H Camp this year through our office. Due to VERY limited space in cabins, we can make no guarantees about cabin mates. We will try to put campers in a cabin with the person that they write down on their application, same school, similar ages and grades, yet out motto for this year is: “Make New Friends!”
If you are interested, please fill out the camp application that is attached to this post and that way we can get you signed up for camp! Remember spots are very limited and are on a first come first serve basis. All paperwork and payments must be mailed to the Extension Office this year.

Calling all Teens and Adults – Volunteers are required for our youth to go to camp….teens read below, adults talk to Mollie today! Please remember that these spots are limited as well, due to the 50% capacity.
Teens: Teen applications are due April 23rd by 4:30 p.m. via Post Office Mail. If you are interested in being a teen leader, please see attached post or call and have us mail you the form. You can also print it from our Website or Facebook page or it is included in this post attachments! Interviews will be announced after the applications are received, letters will be mailed out to the teens that apply for this. If you enjoy kids, please apply to be a teen leader and share this with your friends! We need you this year!
Please note, that we would like all campers to get their 5th year camper pins. We would like to encourage all 8th graders to camp as campers to get to enjoy your camping time to its full potential.

The total for camp this year is $250. Please make checks payable to Spencer County 4-H and this must be mailed to the PO Box Address on the top of this page. Mark envelope Attn: 4-H Camp. You can either pay the full amount on installments - 1st Payment ($85) with camper application, 2nd Payment ($85) by May 14, 2021, 3rd and final Payment ($80) by June 15, 2021.
If your child decides not to attend 4-H Camp, please call the Extension Office as soon as possible.
If you cancel from May 1 – 31, any camper who cancels will receive camp fee LESS $25.
If you cancel from June 1 to registration deadline date, any camper who cancels will receive camp fee LESS $50.
Any cancellations after the registration deadline will not receive any refunds on camp fees.
Please DO NOT wait until the morning of camp to call. At least call by July 12. If you call by July 9, you can still get a refund of your money as listed above. If you call on or after July 12, you will be UNABLE to receive a refund. If we have not heard from you by then, we WILL EXPECT your child to be at the bus on Monday morning.
